Thanks to the integration of artificial intelligence and sensing fiber optics, this process becomes simple and effective. NTSG Italia, Fiber Security BV and the Mon-it Group presented on 25 September 2022, as a preview at the SMM in Hamburg, their new control system called OF SHIP, which offers automatic monitoring of ships 24/7 out of 7.
The system uses sensitive optical fibers to detect and measure 2D and 3D deformations of rigid or semi-rigid objects. The OF SHIP system offers a series of essential features to guarantee the safety of boats: thanks to the real-time monitoring of the deformations and the state of tension of the hull, decks, loading platforms and tanks, OF SHIP allows you to identify potential problems in a timely manner.
Paolo Persi del Marmo, founder of NTSG, underlined the importance of OF SHIP for the security and integrity of the monitored items. The system allows you to efficiently and completely control the hull, decks, tanks, cargo weight, engines and much more.
